 New Litter!!!
We will be breeding our Ch. Big Sky Calyx o’Fernhill, in October 2014, to Fernhill’s Eclipse at Big Sky JC. These are two exciting hounds, so we are really looking forward to seeing what they produce!

2011 Audrey/Valor repeat breeding (the D litter)

We were so pleased with how the pups from the 2009  litter were maturing that we decided to do a repeat breeding, and boy was I happy that I did! This time we had a litter of six pups---four bitches and two dogs, and I have to say that I was very happy with the overall quality of the pups and the pups themselves were probably the sweetest, easiest babies we have had! Audrey is the best mom around, so my job was really quite easy this time. Here are some pictures of the D litter!

2010 Anica/Huntly litter (the C litter)
The Anica/Huntly litter was born on Nov. 16, 2010. This litter was bred, whelped, and reared by Barb Heidenreich at Fern Hill and was co-bred by myself. The dam is Big Sky's Anica O'Fernhill from our A litter, and the sire is Am/Can Ch. Fernhill's Huntly d'Lux. There were five bitches and two dogs. From this litter, we kept Big Sky's Calyx O'Fernhill.
2009 Audrey/Valor litter (the B litter)

Twelve precious pups----eight girls and four boys----were born on July 19, 2009.

Our Ch. Big Sky's Artemis (Ch. Fernhill's Azure JC X Ch. Highlander's Zoe Cameron D'lux) was bred to Ch. Fernhill's Valor of Big Sky (Aust. Ch. Thistleglen Neville X Am/Can. Ch. Fernhill's Roslyn). Pictures of the sire and dam, as well as the maternal grandparents (Azure and Zoe), can be seen on the Big Sky Hounds page. Below are some pictures of some of the other ancestors.

We had a busy summer filled with our dozen of Deerhound puppies. They are all in their new homes now, and we miss them already! Luckily, their new owners are wonderful, and great at keeping us updated with stories and pictures of their new adventures. Here are a few pictures as the puppies grew......

Below are some of the gorgeous Deerhounds you will find in the pedigree of our newest smallies!
