Big Sky's Calyx O'Fernhill
(Am/Can Ch. Fernhill's Huntly d'Lux x Big Sky's Anica)

Calyx was co bred by Barb Heidenreich and myself. She is an incredible mover and extremely keen. She doesn't miss a thing, and is much too smart for her own good! Luckily, she is sweet as can be and is being a good "big sister" to the puppies. At her first show, Calyx took Best of Breed both days from the Bred by class. We also took her to her first ASFA meet, and she did an awesome certification run with a whippet. I can hardly wait to see how she'll run in the future (hopefully, she won't learn to cheat too quickly)! Calyx's sister in California (Fernhill's Cara) won Best Puppy in Specialty at the 2011 Western Regional Specialty in Lompoc. Her half sister, Lehigh-Darkwynd Flora, took Best of Winners at the SDCA National in Oregon in 2011 and her half brother, Lehigh Fortune at Champhurst, was #1 Deerhound in Sweden for 2011. I am hoping that Calyx has a nice show career ahead of her.

Fernhill's Eclipse at Big Sky
(Foxcliffe Thistleglen Torrish x Ardtalamcu Nootka)
Eclipse is from our Australian import, Nootka. He is co-owned with Lesa Newbitt (Bereton Hounds) and came to Texas with his sister, Etta. Eclipse's sire, Torrish, was sired by one of my favorite boys, Fernhill's Lyric (Winners Dog at the 2007 SDCA National). His dam, Ch.Foxcliffe Thistleglen Bluegrass Cat, is a sister to GCh. Foxcliffe Hickory Wind, who was BIS at Westminster in 2011 and a two time Breed winner at the SDCA Nationals). Eclipse is a promising pup, and we hope to start getting him out to some shows soon!

Big Sky's Aero from Tamashi

(Ch. Temujin's Easy Rider x Ch. Sa'sta Paisley of Temujin)
Aero was bred by Pamala Minor (Tamashi) and came to us in February of 2011. He is your typical goofy, but super sweet boy. His sire, Rider (Anakin) is from our A litter, and his dam, Paisley, was bred by Judith Kucszmarski (Temujin) and is owned by Carole King. Aero is a nicely built boy who shows lots of promise both in the ring and on the field. At just three days past his first birthday, we took him to his first lure coursing event, and he got his first JC leg with flying colors! Look for him soon in the conformation ring too!
